Tip 7, Don’t Over Diet : How To Succeed At Big 4 Dieting (Paleo, Keto, AIP, SCD)

To over diet is good because it is the opposite of overweight. False! Once we get rolling into the one of the Big 4 Diets (Paleo, Paleo Autoimmune Protocol (AIP), Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD), and Keto Diet) we may begin to feel the need to follow other aspects of other diets. This may be because we want to have relief of pain (like those on the AIP & SCD Diets and are trying to manage their autoimmune disease), lose weight, or feel healthier faster. Well, the old adage is right…too much of a good thing ain’t so good…or something like that! J

Living the Paleo, Keto, AIP, SCD, and vegan diets at the same time while wearing our hemp shirts during our hot yoga class may make us feel like superstars for a moment but it will be short lived. There is certainly merit with each of these things…therapeutic diets directed by our qualified health professionals can produce amazing results. However, when we feel the need to go for more and more we can begin to hurt our nutrition as a whole and quickly find ourselves in deficient rather than ahead.

When we restrict ourselves too much it becomes more and more difficult to get the nutrients we need. We need to find what works for us without overdoing it. The Paleo Diet may be just what we need or if we are looking to naturally overcome the effects of an autoimmune disease then the AIP diet may be the best fit. We can accomplish a lot by heeding tip 2 and following the model rather than going overboard.

Regardless of our diet of choice and to avoid over dieting we must be actively look for more options and recipes to increase our nutrient intake. We can’t skip over diet recommendations that seem a little weird like organ meats, sea food, and boat loads of veggies because we aren’t used to it. We can google like crazy and find loads of recipes that will suit us well in this effort.

Having whole foods is always best but when we can’t stomach something again or don’t have the time then a smoothie with some Paleo Perfection Protein will give us the boost we need. Heck it actually goes well by itself after or before a workout or in a pinch.
