How To Succeed At Big 4 Dieting (Paleo, Keto, AIP, SCD): Tip 1, Confidence
So the standard answer to this and that about our health isn’t working anymore? We have decided that we can’t continue to live the way we have been and feel mentally and physically at our best? We can’t keep participating in the Standard American Diet (SAD) that is loaded with sugars, processed foods, and allergens? We have finally decided to make a change! Great, step one is done but how do we proceed from here?
The baseline of the Big 4 diets (Autoimmune Protocol (AIP), Paleo, Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD), and Keto diets) is to have confidence in our instincts. We need to understand that nobody knows our body better than ourselves. We are the number one expert at our own bodies! Why? Because we know how we feel after we eat this food versus another. We know our weaknesses to certain foods and can learn how to best overcome them. We don’t need a hard-core professional to walk us through each stage but we may need the input of others here and there to help make the best decisions. Though we have the PhD in Us from U.S. University we can’t claim to know it all and will need others throughout our healing journey.
Part of this decision is to decide by which diet we wish to abide. The strictest of these diets is the Paleo Autoimmune Protocol diet (AIP) which as a very specific focus on, of course, autoimmune diseases. The next is the Paleo diet which is similar to the AIP diet but not as strict and based around what our very old ancestors ate. Next is the Keto diet which targets our bodies’ ability to pull from our stored fat and use ketones for energy. Lastly, is the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) which has the same goal as the AIP diet but with a different approach. Based on our specific needs we can decide which diet will best suit us.
Lastly, after we have decided which diet to pursue we must be very skeptical as we take on any advice, service, supplements, or catch-all solutions. We must carefully research all of our options before a very careful decision is made. Our greatest asset is our body and how we treat it is paramount!
Autoimmune Health & Nutrition hopes to be one of those options that can help us in the diet of our choice. Their Autoimmune grass-fed beef protein’s and supplements comply with all the diets discussed and can cover some of the needs we may have. We can be just as skeptical with them as anyone so give them a once, twice or three times over!
